Creation Process - From Fear to Freedom

Back in June of this year, I started writing what would become my very first published book. At first, I was waiting on illustrations from a friend, but when that didn’t work out, I decided to take a leap of faith and create my own. What surprised me most was how much confidence I gained in the process—I discovered that I could illustrate my own story, and it ended up being an empowering step forward.
One of my biggest struggles wasn’t just the technical side of things, but the fear of putting my work out into the public. I held onto that hesitation for a long time. Eventually, though, I realized that the only way to grow was to let go of fear and share what I had created.
Of course, there were some bumps along the way—especially learning the ins and outs of formatting. I didn’t end up publishing as early as I’d originally planned, but that turned out to be okay. This first book gave me the chance to really get a feel for the self-publishing process, and now I feel like the sky’s the limit.
Since then, something amazing has happened: I’ve become a writing machine. Ideas are flowing, and I can’t wait to keep sharing my stories with the world. And who knows? Maybe one day, I’ll see my work traditionally published too. For now, I’m just excited to keep creating and connecting with readers who love stories as much as I do.
